There are a lot of benefits to teaching your kids about Easter. For one, it teaches your child about acceptance of all faiths. Much like celebrating Christmas, you don’t have to be religious to participate in the cultural traditions. Also, it introduces your child to the concept of birth and renewal. This mooncake papercraft is the perfect introduction to the world of origami!  I made this origami with my nephew of 3 and half and it was a piece of cake for him or mooncake I would say.  It’s definitely the easiest mooncake paper craft you can make with preschoolers and kindergarteners.  Not to mention that they get to learn about the Chinese character “month/moon” [月 | yuè] while they are at it!

The more I read it, the more I discover – from counting the days of the week, learning how to count, to even picking up some healthy eating tips! It’s no wonder kids can’t get enough of this book!
