December is such an exciting time of the year for teachers and parents but can also be a very stressful time. Chinese audiobooks are one of the best ways to immerse your child in a Chinese-rich learning environment.  Like storybooks, audiobooks take your child on a journey of explorations with animated voices and sounds.  Not only that, they help your child get better at reading Chinese and you can access these audiobooks instantly from websites and apps.  Exposure to different narrators also gives your child an opportunity to see how a storyteller can bring a story to life with tones, articulations, pacing, and cadence.

We are kicking off October this year with a visit to the local pumpkin patch!  This weekend we went to Clancy’s Pumpkin Patch.  Every year they set up a beautiful pumpkin patch in an empty lot next to a small park.  It’s beautifully decorated with a wide range of pumpkins, scarecrows, witches, families of skeletons (with pets, too), and many more. 

Charge! With this 3d paper crown, you better stay clear when your kid wears this headband!  This rhino paper crown was requested by my almost 4-year-old nephew. He’s been able to visit the zoo again after the lockdown and has been asking me to do art classes on all his favorite zoo animals.  This week we made a rhino paper crown. It’s super easy to do and looks quite impressive.
