This Recycling Sorting activity works hand-in-hand with our Trash Sorting activity. Once your children learn how to differentiate general trash from recyclable items, you can use this Recycling Sorting activity to extend their learning about recycling in Chinese. There are four recycling category labels of glass, paper, plastic, and metal. Your children will practice sorting recyclable items into the correct category. This recycling set is versatile for any age. For toddlers, each recyclable item card is color-coded to match the recycling category label. Your toddlers can sort the cards by color. As they get older, they can start sorting by the actual items. You can also collect items in the house and help your children identify what materials they are and place them next to the correct category label.
